Theatre Excerpts - Dwarf's Heart / Dwergenhart
At the Baroque Spanish court, Princess Margarita, the infanta of Spain, a fragile ‘puppet’, is presented with a dwarf to amuse and play with. When she breaks his heart, she turns into the cold-hearted future queen-to-be.
Inspired by the painting Las Meninas by Velázquez (1656) and the fairy tale The Birthday of the Infanta by Oscar Wilde (1891).
